Paraplanner Wiltshire – Role Profile
Hartsfield is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Paraplanner to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial advice to our Clients. You’ll be joining one of our vibrant ‘Pods,’ each made up of Financial Planners, Paraplanners, and Relationship Managers. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring that every recommendation we make for our Clients is both accurate and fully compliant.
What You’ll Be Doing As A Paraplanner
As a Paraplanner at Hartsfield, you will be involved in a broad spectrum of financial planning areas, including but not limited to:

- Life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, group protection and business protection, ensuring our clients have adequate protection in place.
- Estate planning and mitigation strategies, including the use of appropriate trust structures to help our clients preserve and transfer their wealth effectively.
- All areas of retirement planning, particularly around the commencement of benefits and developing tax-efficient withdrawal strategies that align with individual client needs and goals.
- Assessing suitability and providing advice on complex pension transfer cases, including Defined Benefit transfers and other safeguarded benefits.
- Researching investment options, analysing portfolio performance and portfolio ratios to support client recommendations, ensuring technical information is portrayed in a manner that is understandable to our clients. Given that we run our own model portfolio service, you’ll gain significant investment exposure with the option of contributing to our investment team.

- You hold the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, reflecting both your commitment to professional excellence and your ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
- You have at least two years of paraplanning experience, equipping you with the practical know-how to offer immediate, high-value support to our Financial Planners and Clients alike.
- You’re adept at understanding and translating complex financial information into clear, jargon-free insights for Clients.
- You value efficiency and enjoy following (and improving) established processes to ensure the best outcomes.
Where Will I Be Working?
You will be based primarily at our Wiltshire office in Box, where you’ll collaborate closely with your Pod and benefit from face-to-face interactions with colleagues. We also understand the importance of flexibility—so alongside three days a week in the office, you’ll have the option to work from home for two days. This balanced approach ensures you can foster strong relationships and maintain efficient teamwork, while still enjoying the benefits of remote working.

Starting Salary
£35,000-£40,000, depending on qualifications and experience
