We try not to talk about ourselves too much. You should find more “you” than “we” in our text. After all, we’ve spent the last two years trying to improve our communication and documentation to put our clients at the heart of it (as well as carefully avoiding industry jargon and hopefully creating content that is a pleasure to read).
But here’s the thing. We won at the 2022 Professional Adviser Awards.
And, we’ll be honest. Winning the Professional Adviser Awards is a big deal for us. We enter awards like this to get recognition for our team because we’re so damn proud of them and we want to shout about the work they do and the care they show our clients.
But we know awards also reassure you that we’re doing the right things and that we’re constantly trying to improve.
Although we’ve been shortlisted for this award several times, we’ve never actually won. So winning Adviser Firm of the Year for the South West is all part of our journey, which we like to share with you. Because we wouldn’t be here, doing what we’re doing and winning these awards if it weren’t for all you lovely lot.
This blog is also, therefore, to say a big “THANK YOU” to all our loyal customers. Thank you for choosing Hartsfield. And thank you for letting us help you figure out what matters most.
As well as competing in the Adviser Firm of the Year category (Southwest and Wales), Melanie Dolphin, Financial Planner in our Bristol and Cheltenham office was a finalist in the Rising Star of the Year (Adviser) category and Simon Moriarty from our Bristol office was a finalist in the Paraplanner of the Year category.
Although they didn’t win, just being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and testament to their work ethic. And those of you that work with Mel and Simon will hopefully agree that they definitely deserve their finalist status.
The 2022 Awards, which are in their 17th year, were held on 26 April at The Brewery in London. There were 35 award categories in total with new awards (like the Rising Star of the Year award) added every year. We had a brilliant (if nail-biting) night, as we were up against eight other firms in the South West and Wales category.
A big part of our entry was based around our focus on financial wellbeing and helping you to realise your “why” through lifestyle planning. We know this approach provides the best possible starting point for financial advice, so we’re chuffed to bits to get recognised for it.
