We talk a lot about community but we like to think that we back it up with action too. Financial wellbeing is important but mental and physical wellbeing is even more important for young people. So we’re delighted to be the headline shirt sponsor for the county boys’ pathway teams at Wiltshire Cricket, continuing the partnership that began in 2022.
Wiltshire Cricket, based in Chippenham, is a few miles away from our new Wiltshire office in Corsham and provides a winter talent pathway programme and summer match play programme for aspiring cricketers.
It’s been an exciting time for pathway cricket in Wiltshire and 2022 saw:
- 178 representative matches across girls’ and boys’ teams
- The introduction of an outdoor practice phase on top of the winter coaching programmes
- Debuts for several pathway players in the Wiltshire CCC 1st XI men’s and women’s teams
- A number of Wiltshire girls selected for Western Storm’s Emerging Player and Academy programmes
- Matches being live-streamed.
George Fleming, Business Development Manager at Hartsfield, is delighted to be able to extend and expand the sponsorship into 2023:
“Cricket is such a fantastic way to bring the community together. We want to make sport affordable and accessible to all, especially at a time when families may be struggling with the cost of living crisis.” – George Fleming, Hartsfield
And with our financial hats on, we’re also pleased to hear that our sponsorship is helping to reduce the financial barriers associated with pathway cricket.
Thanks to our sponsorship (along with an initiative from ECB) the cost of winter coaching programmes for girls and boys has been significantly reduced and is helping to make pathway cricket as affordable and accessible as possible.
The team at Hartsfield are looking forward to warmer days and sunny summer matches as we support the team through the 2023 season. And the team at Wiltshire Cricket are incredibly grateful for our continued sponsorship:
“We thank Hartsfield for their support of Wiltshire and look forward to sharing lots of success in 2023.”
